Pacifica Laser was founded by Dr. Terry Riley, B.A., DC, CLT as a specialty practice focusing strictly on state of the art Class IV Laser Therapy, also know as photomedicine or photobiomodulation. Dr. Riley had spent 14 years treating patients for a variety of pain related injuries and symptoms, but realized that some of his patients, and patients of other doctors, reached a plateau with their care and simply did not improve, or in some cases, obtained minimal if any positive results. Many patients with chronic or acute pain may result to prescription medications or to surgery in an effort to ease their symptoms. Our Class IV Laser Therapy offers a new realm of pain relief and healing technology that is non-invasive, non addictive and proven effective. Many people who are taking pain medications or contemplating surgery would benefit from this new technology, as clinical and medical studies have documented high patient satisfaction, and improved qualify of life.

Laser Therapy has been in use by Doctors in Europe since 1970 to treat a wide variety of soft tissue (musculoskeletal) problems and for pain management, wound healing and to speed surgical recovery, but is literally in its infancy in the United States, only recently receiving FDA clearance.
After several months of research, training, hands on treatment and advanced certification, Dr. Riley decided to establish a center specializing in Laser Therapy so that anyone suffering from acute, chronic or periodic pain or injuries would have the opportunity to receive the benefits of this new technology.
